Are You the Real Deal?

Are you for real?  Do your actions, attitudes and conduct reveal that you are genuine, sincere and honest?  Are you known for being un-fake?

How can you tell, you may ask?  Every part of who you are speaks of your genuineness or exposes your artificialness.  The way you wear your hair reveals the real or a desire to be artificial. Do you select your styles to attract attention or to enhance the real you?  Take a good look at what you see in the mirror?  Does it look “real” and “genuine” to you?  What color do you put on your hair?  Does it scream “FAKE” or does it compliment the Spirit that you say lives within you?  Our makeup reveals our realness.  Have you ever seen girls who seem to be hiding behind their hair and makeup?  There have been times when I just want to reach up and say, “Come out from behind all that fakeness. Why are you hiding from us?  I want to get to know the real you!” 

Your manner of speech reveals your genuineness.  Some girls seem to love the sound of their own voice and the louder and more dramatic they can be, the more attention they think they will receive.  A Christian girl should seek for speech that pleases and magnifies the Lord.

I Peter 3:3-4 “Whose adorning let it not be the outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”

Girls, learn to see and appreciate the look of sincerity and honesty in the life.    Ask the Lord to create in you that look.  Learn to look at your hair, makeup, attitudes, body language and speech with an unfeigned, honest heart.  BE REAL.  Don’t try to imitate what you see in the world.  They are marketing the fake and they are targeting you with it it!  Don’t let them do that to you.  If you are a saved girl, you belong to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  You do not belong to yourself.  You have been bought with a price and your life should reflect that image.

To be real and sincere is a beauty all its own…. Do you have it?
